Guillaum Mocquin rocks the "Element Another Trick On The Wall" Contest
What a tricky ride! What started as a casual session was quickly whittled down to a battle between Mr. Slayer-Slasher Heiko Rohrbach and Mr. Ripped-Boxers Guillaum Mocquin. Other participants took the chance to show off some of their homegrown stuff, and with ages ranging from 12 to 33 we saw lots of different styles. But in the end it was French Rider Guillaum Macquin (Element) who took the category of best trick with his f***ing awesome Frontside Roll-In.
The longest transfer turned out to be a tie between the German rider Rohrbach and Mocquin with a distance of 6,80m. The prize money of 3000€ was split into 1500€ for the best trick and 750€ each for the longest transfer. Tomorow at 2 o'clock there will a wallride session for anyone who has the balls to take part. C'mon Dudes, put on your shit kickers and flip some tricks!
Makia's heading for fun...
It's barely midday and the corridors are already packed; as good a time as any to get the first reactions from some of our protagonists. A quick chat with Totti from Makia reveals what this summer's BRIGHT means to him: "This is our third season here - no summer or winter is complete without BRIGHT! It's the best start for the season you can have and it's so much fun. Tonight starts at four o 'clock, I can't wait to have this bottle of Jalovina with Eric, Thomas and Marco!" Sweet colours shining bright at the Amos booth; there is no way to pass this stand without having a look at the oversized Yods on the wall saying "Peace" and "Fuck off" in the cutest possible way. With the second James Jarvis collection King Ken & co start conquering the streetwear scene, we can expect more shirts, shorts, pillows, wallets and everything you can wish for with King Ken & Yod.

It's always lovely to see you guys and for this we welcome 'every-buddy' for the summer 09 edition! Just like our newcomer exhibitor & 'Drop Dead' contributor Christian, 28, we are expecting lots of networking, orders and styles'n'tricks this weekend...the usual eclectic BRIGHT-mix..
The BRIGHT calm before the SUMMER storm 09 | Setting up
What a peaceful quiet in the holy corridors of the landmarked former police building at the Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage in the middle of Frankfurt. You can hardly imagine that this place is about to explode with passion for streetwear, fashion, sneakers and skateboard culture within the next 24 hrs. Holy sh**t, it's about time for the BRIGHT Summer Edition 09.
Strayed busy bees and helping hands buzzing around, arranging the former police offices and cells to make them look like bright'n'representing tradeshow booths. The Minus skatepark in the courtyard still looks kind of virginal unaffected but we know better: not for too long just until the 'bois' come up and rip it off. We are looking forward to welcome the teamriders element, habitat, vox and converse and many, many more pro's and rookies. So c'mon, buddies - let's rock!
