A Century Of Chocolates

There’s something about old-time traditional companies that defies all the rules of modern-day enterprise and marketing. Like Rogacki, sweets-maker Walter (aka „Schokoladen-Walter“) has been around since forever, supplying (West-) Berliners with high-quality pralines and chocolates for 98 years already. Although the company’s numbers – five stores across Berlin, 18 employees, an annual production of 50 tons of sweet stuff – sound impressive, it’s strictly a handmade thing – Walter’s refusing to use additives or preservatives in it’s products and sticks to the basic concept of “Less (quantity) is more (quality)“. That you have to find one of their places and actually personally go there to grab some awesome arttisanal sweets is a given: Walter’s offline, naturally. (Souchak)
