Arno's : Are You Strong Enough?

Yeah, there are probably better currywurst places in town and more modern ones, but with “Arno’s Imbiss“ that’s kinda besides the point. Operating out of a tiny box, proprietor and sole employee André is offering a smallish menue – the obvious currywurst, a nice meat skewer, buns, softdrinks (don’t even think about asking for fries or beer). The place has a neighbourhood feel, most customers are regulars, what gets put on the meat is less a tomato-heavy, fruity ketchup and more of a savory Worcester sauce.
 
What truly sets Arno’s apart though is the attitude on display concerning hotness: With a myriad of pulvers and “special sauces“ available that go to the limits of how many millions of Scoville units are fit for human consumption (or even legal), the place can be both a test of endurance as well as a very entertaining show. André can (and will) make over-confident grown men cry like little babies and reduce too-cool-for-school hipster types to wide-eyed zombies gasping for air. So don’t go for his offer “A bit spicier, perhaps?“. And don’t piss him off – as he (only half-jokingly) said one time “If someone’s really unpleasant, annoying or cocky or both, I’ll make sure that they’ll be having a really, really bad day.“ (Souchak)

P.S.: And follow your mom’s advice at Arno’s and don’t take the candy – the innocent looking strawberry and raspberry bits are true Scoville bombs.
