The Photography of Mike Blabac

The Hundreds has just released a great portrait on the extraordinairy Mike Blabac, who certainly is one of the most celebrated and well-known photographers in the fields of skateboarding... and, well, basically anything that is action.

Having felt heavily inspired by the imagery he saw in magazines such as Thrasher and TransWorld Skateboarding, he started skating in his early teens already. He then got his hands on his first camera - a used Nikon F3 - in 1987, and continued to learn more about photography by working at a camera store and assisting local photographers while he was still a teenager. Ten years later - in 1999 - Blabac joined DC Shoes, where he still works as a director of skateboarding photography.

Check out the video and examples of his art below. (Forty)
