MOMA : Design And Violence

Set up not as a proper exhibition but an online forum for the time being, Paola Antonelli, senior curator at the MoMA’s department of architecture and design, set up “Design and Violence“ to investigate the interaction of style and beauty with death and destruction. The project approaches that multi-faceted theme from both sides, covering both tools of violence (guns, knifes, etc) and design objects implying destructive forces or capabilities (with the odd product toying with violent imagery for kicks and profit thrown in). A rather fascinating, thought-provoking topic well worth a look. (Souchak)
