Solo Launch
As previously mentioned, there is a phoenix-from-the-ashes-type new player in the German magazine game: Solo. Their upcoming launch, going down in Cologne tomorrow, coincides with the re-opening of the city's classic North Brigade skate spot...
Our ex was a Monster, but we didn’t bother. The parents-in-law quit the relationship. Now, we’re Solo and we’re looking ahead.
We could fill pages about what we want to do differently, about the innovations we have in mind, about how hard we have been working for the last couple of weeks for this moment to come. We could speak about journalistic standards and state-of-the-art layout and how to apply it. We could illustrate our link of print, online and brand, as if we found Animal Chin or celebrate the mag as an artsy coffee table book. We could give you an idea why this piece of paper is called Solo. We could shed tears over Monster and wave the print-saving core flag. We could praise ourselves as Jason Dill’s cooler brothers or insist on the fact , that a scene needs a platform like the one we’re trying to provide from now on. Let’s simply focus on the essentials:
Solo is the baby of the former Monster Skateboard Magazine crew. Our solo attempt – together with everyone who’s down. Skateboarding has given all of us so much and this is our shot to give something back. We’re very passionate about it and whoever wants to be a part of Solo, let it be photos, stories, videos or whatever else is cordially invited. Anything else? Get the mag, visit our website, go skate, be happy. Life is too short to miss a session.
Enjoy Solo #1
Oli, Oli, Henne, Stefan, Niklas, Julien, Peter, Schlacks and the rest of the team
