Makia Tar Collection
Makia just announced its new "TAR" collection, including the Marttiini knife collab and some heavy Finnish lambswood styles to keep you warm:
To pay respect the oldest export product from Finland, we created a capsule collection inspired by the elements used in tar fabrication. Since the Iron Age, tar has been derived from pine trees by burning wood in tar kilns (holes), and used as a water repellent and as a repellent for wooden vessels against rot. It's still used in many natural products and as an additive in the flavouring of candy, alcohol and other foods.
