Home Skate Goods... An Introduction
Porto based brand Home sure knows a thing or two about skateboarding, the community it can build and the passion that's triggering it - and luckily they don't shy away from feeding us with visual nuggets from their universe via their Instagram. Check it out over here.
“Home is a consequence of the will to create something different in skateboarding or at least, create something with value to a certain group of people. We don't have enough resources, help or investment to give a proper "push" to this big baby that is growing in our hands when compared to other brands and institutions. We do it because we love skateboarding and we love people that skate in general. We all have something that unites people together and we can all benefit in all terms. Home is everywhere. Can be the daily spot to someone or be be the local skateshop where the homies meet before the skate session. We all got a "second Home" with a certain personal meaning. We want to capture that and transform this in a specific product to every group of skaters and skate shops. By creating a custom skate wax and keychains to each specific group, we are giving value to the individuals, to their surroundings and to the institution, skate shops, that normally are the main pilar to to this groups. Home is also trying to promote skateboarding in Porto, Portugal. This is our specific group where we have grown up as skaters and individuals in the last 12 years. We are trying to show the homies, this beautiful city and the spots in the social media. We hope to see more foreign skaters here and share histories and life experiences with everyone. We don't want be the biggest company...we just want to be and feel alive.“ (Forty)
