Meatlovers' Paradise

Vegetarians should probably better look away: This old-time Berlin Fleischerei, situated in what used to be known as the city’s Rixdorf district close to the rather dodgy Karl-Marx-Strasse hood, carries enough meaty goodness to make even Anthony Bourdain faint. Offering all sorts of bits and cuts and using traditional recipes for excellent sausages (the 100+ years old shop today operates under the sub-title “Blutwurstmanufaktur“), the place is a festival of quality, freshness, taste and flavor; this is to cheap supermarket stuff what a handmade Burger is to a Big Mac . Bonus points for the service attitude of the older ladies operating the counter („Whatcha want?!“) and the cheap but tasty home-cooking style lunch offers. (Souchak)
