Das Anthropozaen-Projekt @ HKW
"Nature as we know it is a concept that belongs to the past. No longer a force separate from and ambivalent to human activity, nature is neither an obstacle nor a harmonious other. It’s humanity that forms nature and inscribes itself into the geological record on a planetary scale." HKW (Haus der Kulturen der Welt) and Max-Planck-Gesellschaft are teaming up for "Das Anthropozän-Projekt" which questions nature as an independent instance. The biennial project will explore the human impact on nature through lectures, performances, installations, films and many other artistic and scientific formats. Get ready for the opening on Thursday, January 10th at HKW in Berlin. (lisa)
